About [ The Role]
For our Client we are looking for a qualified Junior Support Engineer with a very good knowledge of German and English to join our team.
Your Tasks
- You will look after our customers in 1st and 2nd level support.
- You will qualify and analyze incoming service requests and incidents using a ticket system.
- As part of your 2nd level activities, you will process service requests and resolve faults independently. This includes, among other things, adaptations to firewalls, OS management of virtual machines or the control of automatic data processing, and much more.
- You exchange ideas with the other teams on a daily basis and ensure that the tickets are successfully completed.
- You will ensure availability even outside normal business hours (alternating on-call duty on weekends) and monitor customers' production systems with the help of established tools.
Your qualifications:
- Good technical understanding of servers and networks
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows, as well as network components
- To get started quickly: hands-on experience with a ticketing system such as Omnitracker, ServiceNow, or JIRA
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Good communication skills in the German language, both oral and written
- Good understanding of English, basic oral skills, advanced written skills
- Completed IT education and experience in support
